He married Florence Marion Jopson April 14, 1917. Florence was born in Ovid, NY April 3, 1894. Florence died August 3, 1979 in Lima, Livingston Co, NY, at 85 years of age.

Floyd Delevan Chatterton and Florence Marion Jopson had the following children:

+ 47 i. Francis Burton⁶ Chatterton was born June 8, 1918.

+ 48 ii. Clifford Elmer Chatterton was born March 9, 1920.

49 iii. Myrta Irene Chatterton (still alive).

50 iv. Edwin Donald Chatterton (still alive).

51 v. Mary Louise Chatterton (still alive).
