1. George *1 Soule was born in Eckington, Worcestershire, England ABT. 1597. George died January 22, 1679/80 in Duxbury, MA.

He married Mary (Bucket) Becket in Plymouth, MA, BEF. 1626. Mary was born in England 1602. Mary died December 1676 in Duxbury, MA, at 74 years of age. George Soule came on the Mayflower as a servant of Edward Winslow. He received one acre of land in the 1623 division of land as did Marie Buckett. She is listed as a passenger on the "Anne". The 22 May 1627 Division of Cattle includes George Sowle, Mary Sowle and Zakariah Sowle. George Sowle is in the 1633 list of Freemen. On 23 July 1668, george Soule, with conset of wife Mary, gave land to Francis Walker "husband to my daugher Elizabeth." On 26 Jan 1668, George Soule of Duxbury gave land to daugheter Patience Haskall and John Haskall her husband. On 12 March 1668 george Soule of Duxbury, husbandman, gave land to dauther Elizabeth wife of Francis Walker. The will of George Soule Sr. of Duxberry dated 11 Aug 1677, codicil dated 20 Sept. 1677, inventory 22 Jan 1679, gave lands in Dartmouth to sons Nathaniel and Gorge; mentions lands in "Middleberry" formerly given to daughers Elizabeth and Patience; names daughters Susanna and Mary; eldest son John to have the remainder of his housing and lands. The codicil warned son John that if he disturbed dau. Patience, then Patience was to have the house and lands at Duxburrow. The account of John Soule mentions "since my mother died which was three yeer the last December."
