April 1 – Sail the Mediterranean

We left Cádiz at 8:30 PM and proceeded to the Strait of Gibraltar. We wanted to see the Rock, but the difficulty was the lack of moonlight. We stuck with it and watched the ship position on the stateroom TV and were expecting to see the Rock of Gibraltar around 3 AM. I was not awake at that point, but I managed to get out at 4 AM. I could see a line of ships going west and I believe we were in a similar line, given the width of the Strait. So after 4 AM, I got up and took a quick picture with the iPhone. I turned off the flash and the Live Photo. I then took the picture. This morning, we looked at it a lo and behold , Rock of Gibraltar.

I was flabbergasted how good the camera is in the iPhone 11Pro. I expanded it and got this:

We are now sailing on the Med, which is quite a bit calmer.

Today, we had a final lecture by the intelligence man and are now listening to a lecture on Valencia, where we will go tomorrow. We had our last dinner at the Chef’s Table. We managed to get all four of its menus. That is our favorite restaurant for dinner on the ship.
