Over the Continental Divide to Wine Country – 10/14/16

Woke up to a Winter Wonderland. Lake Louise was having a pretty heavy storm. We were planning to go though Kicking Horse Pass into British Columbia. We checked websites and it looked like it would be okay if we waited until 11 to start. The road was still closed at 11 so we spent an hour reading in the Inn and by 12, we were able to get going. The roads were pretty good and very beautiful, although the overcast made it not photogenic. Since we had had a huge breakfast, we continued down the Rockies. In late afternoon, we stopped at a Tim Horton’s for coffee and wifi and got a nice motel for a couple of nights in Kelowna BC in the heart of the Okanagan Valley wine country.
