Rt 20 – Oregon Trail to Boise – 10/23

We started back east after a great trip.  We expect to travel big mileage each day and so, we haven’t stopped very many times for pictures  Trust me it is gorgeous in the Cascades and the Rockies.  The first trip was to take route 20 east to Boise, ID.  We went over the Cascades, rather than use I-84 along the Columbia again. The drive was spectacular. It follows the Part of the Oregon Trail where the pioneers chose to go over the mountains to get to the Willamette Valley without going on the river.
