September 26 – Return Home
We got up in the morning, had breakfast and then went around the ship taking various pictures in the stairwells. They had the the Bayeaux Tapestry as the main theme for these stairwells and some other interesting art elsewhere in the ship.
Our return didn’t have the same problems as going out. The only issue was that in Iceland, Susan was chosen for special security before getting to the next flight. The signage said not to wait there, but your party would meet you at the next gate. We did finally get together on the Boston-bound plane. The rest of the trip, going through Immigration in Boston (interestingly no customs checks at all) and catching the bus back to Portsmouth, all went fine. We got in around 10 PM and went right to bed. Again no particular jet lag problems.
Summary – We had a great time.
