Nov 12 – Dresden, Saxony

Dresden was totally destroyed early in 1945.  Since then the Russians, East Germans and unified Germans have restored almost everything to its glory.  We started out on our walking tour (with no bus ride to begin with – just walking).  We encountered numerous restored buildings.  Many are combinations of original and new sandstone. You can see light and dark depending on age.  Here are some of the buildings:
