Friday, 5 Nov – Eiffel Tower, Musée de l’Homme
We started today by going to an arranged time of 11 AM at the Museum of Man. When I bought the tickets, they looked fine on my phone, but I learned another lesson of the world of QR codes. If you have something on your phone which you will need to use later, do a screen shot of it so you don’t have weird internet happenings.
We walked to the Eiffel Tower and over the bridge to the Tracadéro. There was much construction, but we found a way around and got to the museum. First Eiffel Tower pictures, then more of the story.
The museum was very interesting, with much on evolution and cultures. There is a famous Peruvian mummy which was allegedly a model for “The Scream” by Edvard Munch.
On our way back we stopped for lunch at the Shangri-La Hotel. Interesting presentation of pad Thai.
We are relaxing in the afternoon and will be going to dinner at the very European time of 9 PM around the corner from our apartment.
