Saturday, 6 November – Tuileries Garden to Arc de Triomphe
Over 6 miles of walk today. We started down along the Seine again and crossed to visit the Place de la Concorde and Tuileries Garden. After a lovely walk in the garden with a few 100,000 of our closest friends, we walked up to a store, Le Jacquard Français, and bought a new tablecloth for the breakfast area. After that, we decided to have lunch at a popular lunch spot, IKEA, for Swedish Meatballs. We then took a long walk up the Champs-Elysées, eventually coming to the Arc de Triomphe. We then turned back and went down Avenue George V, to the bridge and back to our apartment on Quai d’Orsay. We were exhausted at that point and had a bit of happy hour and then finished the nice soup that Susan had made a few days ago. Pictures follow.
