Sunday, 7-November – Jardin des Plantes

We took a cab to the Jardin des Plantes and as long as we were there tried to get into the Zoo, but school vacation week being what it is, we failed. We had a lovely lunch at Jardin des Pâtés (get the pun!!) and started walking back.

Do not use Apple Maps for walking in a city. First, if there are buildings around you GPS location won’t be right and secondly, Apple Maps automatically “helps” you if you turn at the wrong place and maps an entire new route without going the way you wanted to walk. We finally just got back to the Seine, where we knew where we were and caught a taxi back. Relaxed in the room and are going to be early. Tomorrow is last full day on our own before the boat.
