16. Albert B.3 Allen (Timothy J.2, Comfort1) was born in Ephratah, Fulton Co, NY April 21, 1879. Albert died July 16, 1932 in Lasselsville, Fulton Co, NY, at 53 years of age. His body was interred in Ferndale Cemetary, Johnstown, NY.

He married Elnora Chatterton in Johnstown, Fulton Co, NY, November 30, 1901. Elnora was born in Meco, Fulton Co, NY September 18, 1884. Elnora was the daughter of Lorenzo Chatterton and Mary Dell Coon. Elnora died February 21, 1942 in Gloversville, Fulton Co, NY, at 57 years of age. Her body was interred February 24, 1942 in Ferndale Cemetary, Johnstown, NY. Occupation: occupation unknown 1900 in Sewing Machine Operator - Glov.

Occupation: occupation unknown in Leather Dyer. Albert Allen, as noted, was a leather dyer, a highly skilled craft especially in a city like Gloversville where glove making was a prime industry. He was a devoted family man with five children of his own and he was instrumental in raising several nieces and nephews. His untimley death was a terrible blow for the family with his youngest only 5 at the time. His death occurred in a building he had gone to inspect and in the process fell down a stairway, receiving injuries which resulted in death. His death put a great strain on his wife who lived only 10 years longer with the last several years being ones of ill health.

child22 i. Inez Ruth4 Allen was born in Gloversville, Fulton Co, NY February 1, 1912. Inez died December 25, 1999 in Pittsburgh, Allegheny Co, PA, at 87 years of age. Inez graduated in Plattsburgh, 1936. Institution: institution unknown. Inez participated in the Resides event February 1983 in Pittsburgh, Allegheny Co, PA. BOAK Inez (Allen) Inez Alien Boak, wife of Thomas Isaac Slack Boak, Jr. died Christmas morning at approximately 10 AM in St. Clair Hospital. She had been brought there earlier that morning from the Health Center at Friendship Village where she resided. lnez Allen Boak was the daughter of Elinor Chatterton and Albert Allen and was born in Gloversville, NY in 1912. She attended Public Schools there, graduating from Gloversville High School in 1929 and then attended the Broadalbin (NY) Training Class from which she was graduated in 1930.. 

She then taught elem. grades in schools in Dolgeville. (NY) for 3 years. During the summer months each of these yearn she attended classes at Plattsburgh Normal School. She entered Plattsburg full-time in the summer of 1934 and was graduated from there in the FaII of 1935. Inez then secured a position in the Massena, NY Public School Svstem. She taught in the elem. grades in Massena from then until the end of the school year in 1941. Inez Alien was married to Thomas l.S. Boak, Jr. of New Haven, CT in 1941 in Gloversville. Their 2 children Judith Ann Karsten of Fairport NY and Thomas l.S. Beak, III of Sudbury, Mass. who survive as does her husband. Also surviving are 6 grandchildren, Laurie Karsten Bufano. Linda Jane Karsten, and Anna Boak, Geoffrev Boak, Edward Boak, and Abigail Boak; she is also survived by her sister, Mrs. Prank Glover of Gloversville, NY. During her married life Inez lived in Massena NY, Bettendorf, Iowa, Pittsbursh PA (3 periods), Pottsville PA, and Chapel Hill N.C. In Mt. Lebanon she was a member Southminster Presbyterian Church and the Womens Club. There will be no visitation or viewing. A Memorial Service will be held on Wed. at 11 AM in the Chapel of Southminster Presbyterian Church. If desired, Memorials may be made to Southminster Church, 799 Washington Rd. Pgh, PA 15228. Arrangements by LAUGHLlN MEMORIAL CHAPEL. INC. Inez Ruth Allen attended public schools in Gloversville, NY graduating from GHS in January, 1929. She then went to the nearby Broadalbin Training Class in Broadalbin, NY, graduating in June, 1930. She taught 1st and 2nd grade in Dolgeville, NY during the school years of 1930/31 and 1931/32. She spent the summer of 1932 in summer school at Plattsburgh Normal School taking elementary education course, returning to teach at Dolgeville during the school year 1932/33. From June, 1933 through September, 1935 she was a full time student at Plattsburgh Normal (including summers) finishing her course at that time. She received her degree at a delayed graduation in June, 1936. She taught second grade in the Massena (NY) Public Schools for the school year 1935-36, and first grade in this system for the following five years 1936-1941 inclusive. Following her marriage in 1941 she did some substitute teaching. In addition to her rearing two children she was active in Parent Teacher activites, in Church and Sunday School work, and did considerable art work, taking courses in both Pittsburgh and Pottsville during the time she lived in these communities.
