We left the Eden Valley Guest Ranch after giving Lila some more running time on their big field. She was upset that we had to leave. We headed down US 97 and a few other routes. Okanagan Day 2 and into US – 10/16/16

We checked out of the resort and started on another set of wineries. We started at Ex Nihilo in Lake Country, BC and then headed over a bridge to West Kelowna and up on Mount Boucherie which had a lovely view, but didn’t allow dogs in the tasting room. Icefields Parkway to Jasper – 10/13/16

Today the entire village of Lake Louise had a power outage from 8:30 to 16:00. Since we already planned to drive the Icefields Parkway up to Jasper National Park, we left at 8:30. Lake Louise Hike with Lila 10/12/16

The scenery here is fabulous. The first order of business in the morning was a walk with Lila near the parking lot of our hotel. I tried a selfie with her which was not real successful, but also shot some of the mountains here. Aafter breakfast, we headed up to Lake Louise and hiked around. Continue Reading

Made it to Banff National Park 10/11/16

We are in the Canadian Rockies. Once we left Calgary, they were in front of us and gorgeous. We are staying in the Lake Louise Inn and will be here for three nights. We expect to explore and hike over the next few days. I stopped and took a couple of pictures on the way.

Thanksgiving and snow – 10/10/16

We had a long drive from Moosomin, SK to Medicine Hat, AB with snow coming down for whole drive. We stopped for lunch in Moose Jaw, SK at Boston Pizza, a nice chain restaurant.
