Puerto Vallarta 1/27/23 to 1/30

Friday, Jan 27 2023
We finished packing suitcases the night before and had them in the car. At 2:30 or so, we got up, dressed and out the door to drive to the bus terminal in Portsmouth. We arrived there around 3:30 and caught the 4:00 AM bus with John & Vicki. Breakfast at Dunkin’ in Logan and the caught our 7:30 plane to DFW. We then boarded the plane for Puerto Vallarta. We got there in the early afternoon (they are on CST, same as Dallas). We then waited in numerous lines for Immigration and Customs, and finally got out to wait for a bus to the Mayan Palace hotel, where Vicki got to stand in a line for checkin and the room wasn’t ready. After a relaxing Margarita, we finally got into the room. After unpacking, we walked across the street for dinner at the Amá restaurant for a lovely dinner.

Saturday, Jan 28
We got up and walked to the Marina area and had breakfast at Fajita Banana. We returned to the room, and then sat by the pool and read. Susan and I then walked again to the Marina and went to a convenience store and bought bread, milk and butter. After that, we went back across the street to Amá for another lovely dinner.Sunday, Jan 29
Pool area for lunch time happy hour and some swimming. Dinner at Vincent’s in the Marina area. Sorry if these get boring, but lots of walking, reading, etc.

Monday, Jan 30
Walked the Marina again to check out different options for tours. We then stopped for brunch at Waffle & Pancake place. Then John and I talked to a tour operator and negotiated our trips for the next several days. After returning to the hotel, Susan and I read in the lobby, while J&V went down to the beach. We had leftovers in the hotel and talked for a while and went to bed. Tuesday we will be going to the Botanical Garden for a tour.
