Jan 31 – Puerto Vallarta Botanical Museum
We had breakfast at Amá before catching a bus to the Botanical Garden. It went through PV’s new and old towns and eventually went up into the mountain. PV is famous for the second biggest bay and botanical garden in North America. Canadians beat out on both, Hudson Bay and Vancouver Island,. Anyway it was a long trip with an experienced guide. We had a guided tour and then an hour or so on our own. Unfortunately it is the wrong time of year to see birds, although we did see chickens and Guinea Fowl. The orchids were incredible.
On the way up we had a bathroom and coffee break at a small town just down from the Garden. On our way down, we had food and tequila tasting at a different part of the same small town. Way too much food, so we were able to replenish our supply of leftovers at the room. In the evening, we talked and went to bed early.
