Days 11&12, Dublin, Ireland and English Channel Cruise

Tuesday: We are anchored well off shore from Dublin and decided that since we had already done the tourist thing in Dublin a few years back (with Seaglass Chorale), that a long tender ride followed by a long bus ride wouldn’t be worth it. So, we decided to spend Tuesday on the ship. Weather is beautiful. Spent the day reading, eating, etc. We had the Ferrans over for champagne and snacks before dinner. Alice and Bert were given a fancy bottle of champagne and flowers for having been on the most Viking cruises of any other passengers (21). Since their cabin is smaller than ours, we have been hosting the flowers.

The two pictures above are Dublin from the ship. The It is very foggy on the English Channel today (Wednesday), so photography will probably be limited. There are several lectures today and since it is Wednesday, we even have played bridge for a while. Tomorrow morning at 6:45, we will be approaching Dover and the Captain has said that is the best time to photograph the white cliffs.
